As sit inside my house under layers and layers of blankets and sip a delicious cup of hot chocolate, I am baffled by the fact that spring is only 20 days away. Soon, the snow will disappear, and we will finally have the opportunity to bask in the warmth of the glowing sun. Even though I enjoy winter, I eventually get sick of the unbearable cold. It is almost impossible to stay outside and not loose feeling in your hands after just a few minutes, which bothers me to no end. I cannot stand the fact that winter weather requires you to bundle up to the point where you cannot move properly, and feel trapped in a suit of fluff. And don't get me wrong, I love to play in the snow, but when the snow has been around for so long that it has turned black with dirt and debris, it's time for it to go.
March has always been a fun month, filled with birthdays, laughter, and my absolute favorite thing in the whole wide world, the first days of spring. One of the best feelings to me is when you wake up to the birds chirping, and can go outside without bundling up first. The feeling of a warm spring breeze on your skin is comparable to nothing, and being outside for just a few minutes without shaking uncontrollably is an unexplainable feeling after sitting indoors for four straight months. Laying in the luscious green grass, and watching the sun set after 4 o'clock makes me happier than anything else.
But until spring comes, I'll continue sitting inside with my blankets, hot chocolate, and a good book.
