As most of you know, I am pretty short. Actually very short. So, for semiformal, I decided to wear pretty tall heels. I can walk surprisingly well in heels, and I usually find comfortable ones so that I can stay on my feet for an entire party.
During semiformal, everything seemed to be fine. I was super tall and almost eye level with some people that usually tower over me. I could dance in the shoes, and it was all good.
Then, when there was about 15 minutes left, my feet began to feel like they were going to fall off. It was pretty shocking, since my shoes hadn't given me a problem all night. When I got home and took off my shoes, I could not feel any of my toes.
It's actually pretty weird, not being able to feel you toes. When you walk, you kind of feel your feet on the ground, but then again you don't. I can't really explain the feeling.
I assumed that after I woke up, my toes would be back to normal. I was wrong.
When I woke up yesterday (Saturday) morning, my right foot was dandy. I could feel all of it, including my toes. On the other hand (or foot?), my left foot was a mess. Still feelingless. This was pretty funny to me since I often have problems with my right foot since I sprained it over the summer.
So, all day Saturday, I went around with a foot that could feel entirely and a foot that could feel partially. It was pretty weird.
At about 7 p.m., I though that the feeling was back in my entire left foot, and I got super excited. As I'm laying in bed right now, I realize that I'm wrong since the lack of feeling in my left foot is keeping me up.
It's pretty weird that something that I can't feel is bothering me so much since I can't feel it. Maybe I can feel it, but it just feels different? I don't know.
Anyways, I can't feel the two toes closet to my big toe; the other ones are fine. At this point, it seems like my toes are going to shrivel up and fall off. I hope that doesn't happen. I would be pretty sad.
